Britain's First Women's Sports Bar
A British couple have opened the first sports bar for women's sports in the UK. Lucy and Pippa opened The Crossbar in December last year.
There are many sports bars across the UK. People go to watch sports and have a drink with friends. Soccer is the most popular sport, but rugby and cricket are often watched too.
Lucy and Pippa decided that people need a place to watch women's sports too, not only men's sports. So they opened their bar.
“I’ve been waiting for a place that really focuses [on] women’s sport because I’m a huge fan of women’s football,” says one customer. “I’m so glad that there is a dedicated space where people can feel safe and watch women’s football, women’s sport, without feeling judged.”
