The election will cost ￥85.5 billion. That is $547m. It will be the most expensive election ever in Japan.
The Mainichi reported that this election will cost ￥826 per voter. Many people are angry because things are getting more expensive and the yen is getting weaker. So, this money should be used to help those things.
