A World Cup dessert!

I worked in a very nice hotel in Austria and many famous footballers came to stay as it was a very beautiful quiet place in the mountains.

Lothar Matthäus came to stay quite frequently. He was the captain for Germany when they won the 1990 World Cup!

One day as I was making a dessert, my head chef walked passed and said, “Oh, that dessert is for Lothar…”. I was star struck! I MADE BERRY PANCAKES FOR A WORLD CUP WINNER, and the captain no less!

I am proud of many small things in my life, but this is one that I often think about. It is a wonderful moment. Of course, I hope he liked the dessert but I never heard… That’s probably best because I don’t want to know if he hated it!
