An English boy pushing for yokozuna!

Nicolas, a 15 year old boy from Hull in the UK, wants to become yokozuna! He practices at Minato stable in Kawaguchi in Saitama. He hopes to become professional when he finishes school next year.

He won the under-18 gold for the 90kg weight class last year in Estonia. He is big, strong, young and is hoping to get a visa so he can finish school in Japan so that he can keep training. “A week after I get the visa I will be back.” he promises.

He has 10 years judo and 5 years rugby experience so is very strong. He wants to push beyond yokozuna “so good that they make a new ranking. You always have to aim higher.”
