Cooper's Hill Cheese Race

The annual cheese race took place last weekend on Cooper’s Hill in Glouscester in the UK. People race down a steep hill to try and catch a 4kg round cheese.

The race is dangerous as the hill is very steep. But it has a long history and men and women from all over the world travel to try to catch the cheese.

Abby Lampe from the USA won the women's race and there were winners from Germany, Australia and the UK in the men's races.

The cheese rolls down the hill too quickly for anyone to actually catch it. But that doesn’t stop people trying! THEY ARE VERY CRAZY! DON’T TRY IT
