Joetsu Mayor Goes to Hyogo: "rice tastes bad"

The mayor of Joetsu in Niigata prefecture has travelled to Sanda city in Hyogo prefecture to apologise for saying their rice tastes bad.

This is wild news. Don't insult a Japanese person's rice. I think if you are a politician in Japan you probably shouldn't talk about the flavour of rice at all. That is fighting talk!
