There is a Karuta competition for children in Tsubame. Last month, my son took part. We went and there was no-one there. We went a day too early!
The next day was the Karuta competition. That day at 1pm, lots of people were going in. There were lots of children. There were also lots of adults to run the competition. There were lots of parents and also old people. The old people were the judges for the competition.
At the start of the competition, the students were getting nervous. But, after the start they had fun. The students were laughing and shouting and getting excited! We had a great time.
My son didn't win any games, but he really had fun. I hope we can go again next year...
