Margot Friedländer Has Died

Margot Friedländer has died. Friedländer was a holocaust survivor. She spoke to young people about the horrors of the Nazis and about her experiences in Nazi Germany.
When she was young, she hid from the Nazis. Her mother and brother were killed in the Holocaust. She managed to hide for several years but but she was caught and went to a concentration camp in the Czech Republic. At the end of the war, she was freed. She moved to America with her husband but returned to Berlin talk to young people about her experiences. She wanted people never to forget.
“My mission is, to say be a human being. We are all the same. There is no Christian, Muslim or Jewish blood. There is only human blood. We are all the same.”
She was 103 years old.
