Mosquitoes!

It is THAT time of year.... The mosquitoes started biting!

This is something difficult about Japan. There are lots of mosquitoes here and they are hungry in spring and summer. They started biting us over Golden Week. My wife and children get bitten more than me. I think that means I am not delicious...

In the UK there aren't so many mosquitoes. Some insects bite us, but not as many as in Japan.

This reminds me of an old video game for the Playstation 2 called 蚊 ("Mister Mosquito" in English). I played it with my friends a lot. You are a mosquito and you have to bite members of the Yamada family and suck their blood! It is great fun and I recommend it if you still have a Playstation 2! But it is a little uncomfortable if you don't like mosquitoes (I definitely don't like them). This is a great example of strange Japanese culture being popular overseas!
