People ride the Tube with no pants.
People ride the Tube with no pants.

The event is organised on Facebook. People ride on the train but in just their underpants (with no trousers)! Seven people started the event in New York in 2002 but it has spread to around sixty cities (including Tokyo). We call the metro “the Tube” in London.

The idea is to spread happiness and to “create unexpected moments of joy”. The Facebook site tells people to wear their ordinary underpants. This is so it looks like they just forgot their trousers.

The weather was cold that day! It was around 4°C. Despite that many people took part across London at different stations and on different trains.

What do you think? Do you think it is a good idea?
